Lorena D. Rodas, LPC Associate
Mental health and wellness were foreign concepts until my early 30s. Growing up as the oldest of seven children, a daughter to immigrant parents, and starting school as a non-English speaker had its challenges. Understanding mental health’s impact on my well-being helped me to grow and flourish.
As a wife and working mom, I understand the daily struggle to find time for self-growth and self-care while meeting family and work needs. Self-compassion and practicing self-care allow me to have the headspace to serve others. I enjoy volunteering, family road trips, and exploring nature.
My calm demeanor and compassion make others feel seen, heard, and accepted. I appreciate each individual for their unique self. I aim to explore ways to live a joyful, healthier, and more productive life.
My Professional Experience
My life experience drives my passion to help others on their life journey. I gained extensive child-based mental health services as a School Counselor. I am among the top five 2023 Texas School Counselor of the Year finalists.
I sought the credentials to become a Licensed Professional Counselor after seeing a need Spanish-speaking therapist in our community. I have experience working with a diverse population. I have experience with barriers hindering academic success, healthy relationships, anxiety, trauma, and crisis support.
I welcome the opportunity to connect with women of all ages to guide them on their voyage. We can explore whether my virtual counseling services fit your needs through a free consultation.
